Victory Program
Advocacy to Alleviate Homelessness provides individuals with a seven night hotel stay. The program targets individuals on the verge of homelessness due to residual effects of COVID-19 such as layoffs or unemployment, or those suffering from abrupt hardships, rendering them homelessness. 75% of clients request additional nights, due to lack of money and no place else to go. The Victory Program is our most utilized service.
The continual increase in homelessness throughout Wake and surrounding counties have burdened many of our homeless clients. Most are seeking immediate shelter, resolute options to homelessness without severe administration or having to jump through hoops. They seek the comfort found in safe shelter, a warm bed, and relief from the outside elements. Many of our clients work every day, however; their salary doesn’t afford them the cost to obtain and manage an apartment or rental property.
Lack of available funding prevents our organization from helping more individuals through this dynamic program.
